Radon Mitigation Cost

The installation cost of a water system is dependent on a variety of factors, such as:

  • Type of system
  • Depth of well
  • Flow rate from well
  • Size/occupancy of home
  • Water quality
  • Existing radon levels
  • Is the system on the exterior of home?
  • Does the homeowner want the system routed internally?

The installation cost of an air system is dependent on a variety of factors, such as:

  • Size of the home
  • The construction of the foundation
  • Design of the home
  • Age of home
  • Type of system
  • Aesthetics
  • Existing radon levels
  • Is the system on the exterior of home?
  • Does the homeowner want the system routed internally?

The operational cost of a radon mitigation system can also include:

  • Electrical cost of running the system
  • Eventual fan replacement (est. $500.00)

Ongoing cost:

  • Air Exchange Systems can impact heating, cooling & dehumiification costs.
  • Bubble-Up water systems require ongoing service and maintenance $600.00 – $800.00 per year

Other factors to be considered:

  • What work may be required to conceal system, if desired.
  • Any other water treatment that may be necessary.

Radon Remediation Cost

The vast majority of radon in air mitigation systems are the Sub Slab Depressurization (SSD) type of system. A “typical” installation will be $1,200.00 to $1,600.00

Radon in water systems: Bubble-up Aeration systems $5,800.00 Airwell Systems are $5,450.00

Post Mitigation Testing: Pursuant to the 2017 Radon Mitigation Standards we share this, you have options:
1) You can utilize the test kit we provide that is included in every system we install
2) You can hire us to do the testing separately
3) You can have another testing professional do the test.
